Dijon Bourgogne Airport (DIJ)
Airport Information

(Dijon, Burgundy, France)

Situated conveniently just 6 km / 4 miles from the town of Dijon, the region's Longvic Airport (Dijon Bourgogne Aéroport) also lies close to the villages of Crimolois, Fauverney, Longvic and Ouges. Dijon Bourgogne Airport (DIJ) is a relatively small facility and can be found directly east of the Canal de Bourgogne and Perrigny les Dijon, within the French Côte-d'Or department. The town of Chenôve is an important local landmark and is sited to the north-west.

With just a single terminal, Dijon Bourgogne Airport handles scheduled flights throughout France and also features chartered flights to a number of international destinations, with airlines including Air Mana and Europe Air Line. Dijon Airport is a modern facility, which has undergone and continues to experience expansion, as the demand for air access to this popular region of France increases.

The A39 motorway provides the main route to the airport, with the A6 offering alternate access. Airport shuttle buses run intermittently during the day, while taxis can be hired from a rank outside of arrivals for journeys into Dijon or other destinations in the Bourgogne region, such as Plombières les Dijon, St. Apollinaire and Talant.

About Dijon Tourism

Dijon is a city best known for its mustard, and as the capital of the Burgundy (Bourgogne) region, it is also well known for the fine wines it produces. The town centre is a haven for lovers of history and architecture, with over 60 percent of the buildings more than two centuries old, many of which are based around the Place Darcy and the Place de la Libération. Dijon's Saint-Benigne Cathedral is particularly impressive and dates back to the late 13th century.

Many people fly into Bourgogne Airport (DIJ) each year to enjoy the region's numerous attractions, being close to the border of Switzerland and cities such as Geneva. Once every three years, the international flower show, Florissimo, visits the city of Dijon and attracts large numbers of visitors, as well as healthy interest from its resident population.
